And so after a year since my first review was published in the Philippines Free Press and about half a year after I took a break from the litcrit rigmarole, my first is about to come out of this place next week, the book in question being Francisco V Coching's El Indio. I have a few things planned for the essays, especially on the book reviews front, mainly that I want to make them come out weekly, and that I want to concentrate on komix, any independent publishing efforts, and any online downloadable literary content, literary = anything readable/can be regarded with the eyes, all produced locally, ie, Made in the Philippines.

And so I need your help: if you have - or know of - more or less anything that falls into any of the three categories, you can leave a comment or link in this post, or you can eMail me the pertinent information and/or documents (at juncruznaligas(at)gmail(dot)com), or if you can hand me the books physically, somehow, as I live in Cubao, parallel to Katipunan, and I can probably meet you up somewhere there, but contact me first by eMail, of course. Any genre or media or form, as I really have no standards when it comes to these things.

You can go read some of my essays here, just so you know how I go about doing these things. The MO, in ten words or less: an attempt to an holistic approach to art appreciation. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
